This is Victoria Falls on the border of Zimbabwe and Mozambique. The Zambezi River runs through a series of waterfalls and dumps into the Indian Ocean. I am heading to the beautiful country of Mozambique for a missions trip. I a serving at an orphanage 30 miles outside of Maputo the capital of Mozambique. I can't wait to adventure in the jungles, charge on safari's, live off of minimal food and water, with a high death rate, AIDs in 52% of the people, some of the most ferocious land and sea predators in the world, un-nameable diseases, densely populated with rebel militia, and much more. Rugged does not begin to describe this trip. I will bring everyone back pictures, videos and memories to last a lifetime. I do not plan on saving the world or making a difference in Africa.......these things are laughable dreams of rich men and women who never follow their money or the tree hugging social activists who feel better about the latte's they drink and the expensive veagen foods they eat when they semi support a cause. I am simply going to experience love cross culturally and learn from a people who do not need conformity, warm coffee, or airbags to feel safe and comfortable. I want to love and be loved in a place that i have never been with a people who i do not understand. This is proof that love is God's language and every one will one day speak God's language.
